Have you tried to check and see if they can be fixed by running the error reporting utility? Since you said it's fairly new I think it's safe to assume you're running windows 10. You may also perform a clean boot to help us determine what conflict is causing the problem. I wasn't sure where to post this, so I hope I'm in the right place. It will remove the errors, speed your computer and more importantly back your own system.

Download and install the program and once you run it, it will show you and give you the option of uninstalling software installed by manufacturer that you do no need. Disabling the page file size for both my drives as a i have a hybrid hdd has done the trick and i get no slow down etc anymore. Your hard disk may have logical errors.
When I checked the task manager, I found out that my disk usage is 100%!! It makes the loud noises when I turn on the computer and when it's bring up my desk top it just keeps being real loud. I've looked at all of the background processes and I've even enabled some things on the laptop. I'll try reading the suggestions in the other thread and trying those and seeing if it helps at all.
